Head to head

Motorbunny vs Sybian: which saddle machine suits you?

The Sybian is the one everyone's heard of. The Motorbunny is the one that keeps turning up when people search for a cheaper Sybian. Here's how they actually compare on paper.

How I review: I don't test products hands-on. This comparison uses the makers' and retailers' published specs. Yes, I earn a little if you buy through my links. No, it doesn't change who I say it's for. Full method.

Motorbunny vs Sybian: what's the difference?

The Motorbunny Original adds LINK app and long-distance control and comes with four attachments. The Sybian Classic uses a corded controller with separate rotation and vibration dials, and a 5-year warranty.

The short answer: pick the Motorbunny Original if you want app control and better value. Pick the Sybian Classic if you want the original, simple wired controls, and a 45-day trial. Pick the Motorbunny Buck if rotation alone won't cut it and you want thrust.

Where the Sybian wins

  • Separate dials. Rotation and vibration each have their own speed control, so you can mix them exactly how you like.
  • Trial. A 45-day risk-free trial, so you can send it back if it isn't for you.
  • Simplicity. A wired controller with no app to update or pair. Some people love that.

Where the Motorbunny wins

  • App and long-distance control. Both Motorbunnys use the LINK app, so a partner can drive from anywhere.
  • More in the box. The Original lists four body-safe silicone attachments, and an 11-year warranty.
  • Price. The Original is $999 to $1,099 by bundle on the maker's site. The Sybian lists at $1,495 (it was on sale at $1,295 when I checked).
  • Thrust. The Buck is the only one of the three that thrusts.

Where each one falls short

Motorbunny Original: the maker doesn't publish speed or noise figures. Sybian: no app listed, and the Classic attachment material isn't stated by the maker. Buck: the most expensive of the three, and weight and size aren't published.

Buy the Motorbunny if: you're a couple, long-distance, app-curious, or watching the budget.

Want a longer returns window?

The Motorbunny Original has a 45-day guarantee and the Sybian a 45-day trial. The Buck matches the Original's 45-day guarantee. All five saddles are ranked in my saddle machine guide.

Questions people are too shy to ask

Is the Motorbunny better than the Sybian?

For most first-time buyers, the Motorbunny Original is the better value. On paper it adds app and long-distance control and often lists for less. The Sybian Classic has separate rotation and vibration dials, simple corded controls, and a 5-year warranty.

Can the Sybian be controlled by an app?

The Sybian Classic uses a corded controller with speed dials. No app control is listed for it. If you want a partner to control the machine from another room or another country, look at the Motorbunny Original or the Motorbunny Buck, which both use the LINK app.

Which one thrusts?

Only the Motorbunny Buck. The Sybian Classic and the Motorbunny Original rotate and vibrate. The Buck vibrates and thrusts, with two thrust modes.
